Fantasy romance visual novel The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe) is now on Kickstarter!
A budding new indie studio by the name of Moirai Myths is working on their first project, The Good People (Na Daoine Maithe), a narrative romance VN inspired by Irish folklore. Rich with fantasy, this visual novel dives into the Celtic Otherworld with Seelie and Unseelie Courts where you play as a mid-19th century farmer who gets pulled into the mythical world of the fae when you try to retrieve your stolen belongings. In the process, you encounter six love interests that are allied with either the Seelie or Unseelie folk.
The Kickstarter campaign for The Good People launched on January 1, 2023, receiving nearly 50% of their CAN $32,465 funding goal within just 24 hours of launch. At the time of writing this newsletter, this equates to 229 people who have pledged to bring this project to life. It is amazing that their highest tier, "The Queen's Favor," which rewards backers with customized voice lines, has already sold out. Other rewards still available include—but are not limited to—love letters from the the love interests with voice acting, early access to the game, a digital artbook, and a digital lorebook. Due to the ambitious nature of The Good People, the project creator mentions that the game will be released in increments rather than all at once.

Join the Blossom VN Jam This March 31st!
The Blossom VN Jam was just announced with a live jam page where creators can join in on the casual spring-themed jam. Developers are free to explore the spring theme in various ways, and the jam page offers a few ideas for creators, including the cottagecore aesthetic which celebrates countryside living. Other ideas include farming, nature, and more importantly, a game centered around a budding romance.
Spring is the time when the world comes back to life after the cold winter. Flowers decorate the landscape, animals emerge from hiding, and trees return to their vivid green color. It's a time for new beginnings, and that's why this is the perfect opportunity for romance VN devs to create a budding new romance that signifies a fresh new love between people, whether that means two new strangers who fall in love for the first time, or perhaps two longtime friends who are just now realizing their affection for one another.
Pyreside Waltz
Coming soon, Pyreside Waltz is a Russian-inspired fairy tale where you play as Motya, a doll with unknown origins. The game showcases a cast of visually intriguing characters, including Timoor, a metal alloy, and Rosherik, a character with two sets of arms. A romance at its core with a selection of suitors, Pyreside Waltz is also rich with lore and explores the relationships the characters have with each other. The most eye-catching aspect of this game is the Live2D animation of the characters which notably brings them to life.

You My Love
A yandere boyfriend romance game, You My Love is a horror game about a possessive boyfriend. You play as the gender-neutral MC referred to "You." Ash is your jealousy-crazed boyfriend who becomes exceptionally envious when your old friend Jason enters the picture. What's jarring is Ash's uncanny ability to flip a switch and play the role of a gentleman boyfriend, and then suddenly he's murder crazed. It's up to you to decide how you respond to the events in this game, and perhaps with the right choices, you can avoid a grim fate.

Hoping This Finds You Well
Hoping This Finds You Well captures the beauty of the Victorian era as two professors exchange letters with one another over the course of several months. The year is 1902, and Dr. Hawley Faraday has just graduated and received his doctorate in medicine. Harold Ludicael also holds a distinguished title with many degrees under his belt, and he is currently a professor of supernal biology. The unique aspect of Hoping This Finds You Well is the time stamp system that allows you to read the letters at different periods of time: as it is being written and as it is being read, so you see the reactions of both the writer and the receiver. This budding Victorian romance is bound to set your heart aflutter.

Who's Behind That...? S2
Who's Behind That...? S2 is a speed dating game with thirteen contestants, all of whom are character concepts submitted by their creators. Your role in the show is to get to know each of the contestants by chatting with them about their hobbies, favorite date spots, and what makes them special. Once you find your match, you press a red button to lock in your date and reveal their face, and more. The show is run by the mysterious Host, who claims to be an attractive individual, but will they show their face too?

Romance at the Rink
Selena is an active figure skater with a love for the Christmas holiday, so much so that she sharpens her blades to get ready for a winter performance at her local skating rink. Enter two-time Olympic medalist and Selena's enemy Levi as her competition. The two also happen to be childhood friends, but will they be able to overcome the drama of their past to renew their relationship?

Dual Chroma: Academy Carols takes place in the same world as Dual Chroma: Far Shore, and features the irresistible Prince Keldran, as seen in previous titles such as Deliver Us From Evil. Whispers Through The Wall is an otome game about an encounter between two neighbors on a cozy winter night.
